1910-D $20 MS66 NGC. An estimated survival of 15,000 coins from the 429,000-piece mintage makes the 1910-D an available branch mint Saint-Gaudens twenty. About 14,000 of those surviving examples come from foreign holdings. While the origin of this Premium Gem example is unknown, coins repatriated from Central and South American vaults yield the most high-end Uncirculated pieces. This lustrous and virtually unabraded example displays orange and peach-gold coloration and a strong Denver Mint strike. A few scattered flecks of bag grime and the lack of any significant marks suggest long-term bag storage with little or no handling. Eye appeal is terrific.
