AN ELEGANT ALABASTER FIGURE OF A STANDING BUDDHA, 18TH CENTURY
Burma. Standing atop a base, dressed in a monk's robe incised with fine hems, both arms lowered along the waist and holding the robe, the face with a gentle smile, downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, the pupils painted with black pigment, flanked by elongated earlobes, and the head surmounted by a high ushnisha.
Condition:
Good condition with minor wear, a crack to the arm with fills and small repairs, surface scratches, and minor losses. The stone with natural fissures. The base with natural age cracks.

Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
