4-cm engraved gilt chapter ring numbered I-XII and 13-24, hour indicator on the foliate engraved alarm disc, finely engraved musical angels flanking the aperture for moonphase and engraved birds below, foliate engraved back with subsidiary dial for strike indicating marked HB , iron and brass posted movement with foliate engraved standing barrels, verge escapement and plain balance, countwheel hour striking and alarm on the bell surmounted by a soldier, four corner finials flanking the shaped frets, moulded canted corners flanking the well engraved gilt side doors depicting female figures under an arch, moulded ebonized base on bun feet
