Die Aufnahmen zeigen Stadtansichten und Landschaftsaufnahmen von Hankou/Hankow (heute: Wuhan) und Umgebung, Chinesische Typen sowie Szenen aus dem Militär- und Gesellschaftsleben der dort ansässigen Deutschen. Hervorzuheben sind hierbei zahlreiche Aufnahmen von Pferderennen des Hankow Race Club. - Die Photos unten handschriftlich betitelt. - Teils etwas, vereinzelt stärker geblichen und fleckig bzw. mit Montagesspuren.
Large-format linen photo album (25 x 32 cm) comprising 169 mounted original photographs; vintages; collodion and gelatin silver paper prints; without photographers credit; incl. 167 images with a size of 11.5 x 21 cm to 5.5 x 5.5 cm and 2 panoramic views (each c. 8.5 x 28 cm). The images show street and landscape views of Hankou/Hankow (nowadays: Wuhan) and its environs, chinese types as well as scenes from the military and public life of the German residents. In addition, the album includes several images of particular interest showing horse races organized by the Hankow Race Club. - Partly somewhat, occasionally more strongly faded and stained or with traces of mounting.
