CYPRUS, Salamis. Phausis(?). Circa 480-460 BC. AR Stater (20mm, 11.06 g, 5h). Ram couchant left; ankh to left; pa-u (in Cypriot) above, si-o-se (in Cypriot) below / Large ornate ankh enclosing ba (in Cypriot); floral ornaments in corners; all within incuse square. McGregor Group F.II.a, unlisted rev. type; Zapiti & Michaelidou –; Tziambazis –; BMC –. Lightly toned, small flan flaw on obverse, slightly off center on reverse. VF. Very rare.

This variety is apparently unpublished, but see McGregor Group D.VII.a, for a similar type in the name of Euelthon.
